I have a Dell XPS laptop, and the latest version doesn't work with my computer (Skype has confirmed this, and suggests going back to a previous version). The only version available on this site is the most recent one, which I can't use. Is there any chance of making version 6.3 available (Skype has identified this as the last version that will work with my computer). There are thousands of people having the same problem, so making the previous version available would be a huge help until Skype can get its act together and put out a new working version. Thanks!

It's temporarily available here. Likely, this is not an issue with Skype itself but with the Dell XPS camera drivers. Otherwise it would affect lots of other cameras in other laptops. Skype may code a workaround in if enough users are affected the way Firefox coded in a workaround for defective laptop graphics drivers a few years back.
I believe Skype 6.3 may have some unpatched security issues, so you're aware.
