1-2 months ago i was in contact with the founder of PortableApps.com regarding RetroShare. (probono, #chaosradio irc chan)
He told me that it would be possible to create Nightlies of RetroShare if the Trunk was on a Git Repository.

Being on Git or not has nothing to do with whether an app can be made portable.
