Updating Flash in portable FF

I'm wondering how to update Flash in FF Portable. I have seen a reference to "portable flash," but didn't see anything like that on the Portable Apps app page.

Every time I try to update, I am asked for an admin u/n and password, which I obviously don't have.

Suggestions?

copy from host

the updating (installation in fact as well) of flash on the portable firefox is currently done by copying flash plugin files from the host machine.
So yes, you have to install it to the host machine first, and later copy the file manually from there.

Try search in this forum, you will find number of threads dealing with the flash for portable ff.

I spent about ten hours

I spent about ten hours researching this and trying out different things. I could never get it to work.

Note that in order to test it, you need a machine without a working flash install, otherwise portable FF will just use the host's flash and you might think you've succeeded (until you try a host that really doesn't have flash). Yep... happened to me.

Best wishes for that. I've

Best wishes for that. I've decided to just let our sysadmins take care of security on our network, and I'll surf with whatever flash plugins I have currently installed.
