I have a question to ask.
If i place the "Portable Application Suite" as an autorun in my USB Flash Drive, What will happen if i plug it in other operating system that doesn't support the "Portable Application Suite"(example: Mac os & linux).

And if i want to install "Portable Application Suite"that only works with windows & "OS X PortableApps" that only works on Mac os, together in the same USB Flash Drive as an autorun. can it be done? & how can i do it?

Thank you for your help.

Nothing

Nothing will happen when you plug it into a Mac OS box. Nothing will happen when you plug it into a Linux box.

Side note: You can run the menu and most apps on a Linux box with Wine installed and on an Intel-based Mac OS X box with DarWine installed.

just for grins

I plugged my drive into my HP all in one printer. It scanned the drive and eventually showed what I think was an Open Office splash sceen on it's little display. No programs actually ran, of course.

Yeah, it auto-scans for images in every sub-directory. You'll probably see the images within OO, within the launchers, etc. This isn't related to autorun at all, though.

Hmm... maybe I'll start zipping the source files (including the splash screen jpg) so this doesn't happen. It'll still happen for the basic OO splash and GIMP splash and other images like that, but it would at least eliminate a few of em.

Good idea. I hate computers

Good idea. I hate computers that have that Adobe program (I forget its name) open with all the images showing as soon as the drive is plugged in.

Vintage!
