Nerd - You'll need to change the name of this package. Portable Apps Suite™ is a trademark of this site. The name of your package is confusingly similar (as per US trademark law) so I have to request a name change. Might I suggest Portable App Creator. Or Portable App Creation Utilities. Etc.

Hey, im new and trying to make my own portable apps, how do i get the app to make them? Or how do i get rid of the registry entries that the program requires?

can't get rid of PACM, it says that something else is useing it
Does this really qualify as a portable app creator? It appears that entries are added to the registry and then deleted after use. I was under the impression that portable apps were not allowed to write to the registry. Are limited users even allowed to write entries to the registry?
I don't think that any of the applications John posts write anything to the registry. John, is that the case? What do you use to "intercept" the registry entry reads/writes?
The backup local registry entries. Then the portable registry entries are applied. Then after close, the portable registy entries are brought back to the device, and then the local ones put back.
If a limited used couldn't have registry entries written, many applications wouldn't work. (I think) It's just a place where settings are stored.

Check out PuTTY Portable for an example of a program that saves and restores its registry entries.
There are bound to be ways to intercept them, but so far I haven't seen any in the Portable Apps suite of packages.
