FireFox undercover

Does anyone know where I can get a theme for FireFox that will make it look exactly like Internet Explorer so I can us FireFox at the library without getting cought? Here's a link to show you what I'm talking about: http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s118/MobileDev/IE.jpg

The top has to look exactly like the picture, including the stupid search and lookup buttons. Also, The library computers won't let me install the Java plugin for FireFox. Is there a portable version of FireFox that comes with Java already installed? It would be kind of cool to play RuneScape without any annoying ads (AdBlock rocks!).

FF IE

This is as close as you can get:

There is no way at the moment to have Firefox use an instance of Java on the portable device.

Love that page John!

That's exactly the way it goes with Internet Explorer. I spoke to the "IT Professional" that takes care of all the library computers over here, and she says she would much rather have FireFox on all the computers, but "state and county regulations" say that if it's not from Microsoft, she can't install it. This is because the so called "committee" that decides how all the Pines libraries in the area should operate is 2/3 Microsoft employees. I can't blame them, because they don't know any better. They were raised on Microsoft products and have no clue what Macintosh, Linux, UNIX, or open source software are. All they know is that "there's this thing called Microsoft Windows and it's the only thing that works". Stupid idiots. After talking to the "IT Professional" for a while, I finally got around to mentioning Themes for FireFox. Then she told me that if I could find a way to make FireFox look exactly like Internet Explorer, she would install it on all the computers. It has to be done this way because the "committee" comes around every few months and looks at all the computers and if they see FireFox, the "IT Professional" will lose her job. She told me that a lot of people have attempted to sue the library because credit card numbers, social security numbers, e-mail accounts, and other things have been hacked and stolen. But they can't sue the library because of the pretty "browse at your own risk" warning on IE's start page on all the computers in the library. Interesting eh?

That makes no sense. It's

That makes no sense. It's one thing to have MS exert some influence and make them use Windows, but forcing IE doesn't really help MS too much. Someone ought to fight the stupidity of corporate influence on public services.

Yeah well...

Like I said, they really don't know any better. Microsoft products are in everything from schools, to government buildings. And if you grow up working for Microsoft and really have no knowledge of anything else, then of course you would only use Microsoft Windows. Now if only Linux were that popular, the world would be a much better place.

Military

The military is a strictly MS computers. They baned FF or other "malicious" software.
I think that the gov believes that anything free is bad, because of a lack of paper trail, and "official" licences
If this keeps up the world will end soon.
