portable app creator

Is there an "one click" app to portable app maker?

JauntePE was such an creator but alpha and I couldn`t find it anymore on the web.

Wouldn`t it be better to put developement in such an creator then making single apps portable? Just in theorie each app could be made portable?

there isn't much of that

there isn't much of that kind of thing yet, but there are some things you can try.
A software I made that has a lot of bugs:https://portableapps.com/node/5164
NSIS template:https://portableapps.com/node/2022
Also, I've got conformation that thibeaz is making a bettered version of my portable app maker. So your choices are either learn NSIS or wait for better things to arrive.

Nobody should start to undertake a large project. You start with a small _trivial_ project, and you should never expect it to get large. If you do, you'll just overdesign and generally think it is more important than it likely is at that stage. Or worse,

The author of JauntePE

is working with Steve to improve Lapwing. Lapwing is still functional ATM.

Hi Steve!

Hi Steve, can you please give me a quick guide on how to use your current version of Lapwing? I'm trying to make Lazarus portable.

I've already done so:check

I've already done so:check the lazarus forums. There is too much lazarus needs then what lapwing can give. It needs dynamically written xml files. I wrote my own launcher for this. I even bundled a lot of extras in.

Hmmm

Loads quite slowly, but I see no other faults, thanks.

yeah, it is an RAR file made

yeah, it is an RAR file made into a EXE. That's why it takes a while. If you want, you can use WinRAR to extract the files(if you have space-its about 500mb) and just run "lazarus2-gl.exe". That will eliminate the wait but use more space.

Well

Well Lapwing is good and all but I like a crack at some things you know Blum
and mine is sort of like Imacooldude's but mine is going to be done in delphi. Some of my features hopefully will include a registry search of that app you want portablized, Mine is still in Drawing Board stages yet so your best bet right now is to use Lapwing, and yeah I know about JauntePE (I Still have the latest copy before it dissappeared). I got partial inspiration for my project from that and imacooldude's autoit app called pafappmaker
