PortableApps for Ubuntu

Does a version of PortableApps or its software exist for the Ubuntu (Linux) freeware operating system?

I would love to have such a version.

Wine

If you install Wine on Ubuntu (it enables certain Windows apps to run directly on Linux), you can directly run most apps as well as the PortableApps.com Menu and Backup utility.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Or use any other versions of wine (meaning Cross-over office and Cedga (propriety though))

What about virtual CD?

How would one add Wine onto a live disc before burning, or is this possible?

Thanks,

Adam

You can't

You really can't unless you use a tool to do that. I'm pretty sure I might add it to my next release of ubuntummc though. I haven't decided yet. (got to manage space on the iso you know ;))
