I have a copy of Abiword on the computer (as well as open office). When I tried to install the portable versions of etiher on the thumbdrive, it went all the way to 60% and froze. Any ideas? ( categories: )

Ok I found a solution
clunky but works. I installed it into my external HD and then simply copied and pasted
Not looking forwards to doing this with Open Office
Probably not...
You shouldn't have to do that with OpenOffice.org Portable, I have installed it about five times now on different computers and have not had any problems with it, even though all of them have had OpenOffice.org on them already.

I'm having the same problem
Same problem here.. I checked the file size of the installer, re-downloaded, and yet it always freezes at 60%... I'm switching back to OpenOffice...
