Miranda Portable, SSL and GTalk?Submitted by MCBastos on April 9, 2007 - 10:53am
If you don't have SSL installed in Windows, Miranda is not able to connect to a SSL-only server, such as the one for GTalk -- the "Use SSL" checkbox is greyed, and a link to download OpenSSL (at http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html) is displayed. MCBastos ( categories: )

solution
just copy these files to the root directory of miranda (where miranda32.exe is located, _not_ mirandaportable.exe):
libeay32.dll
libssl32.dll
ssleay32.dll
google should find the files at www.dll-files.com
and it should work on every computer...
john, it could be nice, if you'll included these files i the package!
(german users: look here: http://miranda-im.de/mediawiki/index.php?title=Openssl)
Edit: the same way can be used for other dependences, that are not present on every pc. so msvcr70.dll or msvcr80.dll is often uses by plugins, the "Microsoft C Runtime Library"

GOOD solution
Yeah, it worked fine. The only part that was a teeny bit complicated was getting the DLLs -- dll-files has just one of them. I had to install OpenSSL on my machine to get them. And then, it took me a while to be sure that it *was* working -- even after I uninstalled OpenSSL, Miranda still behaved as if I still had it. Apparently the OpenSSL uninstaller leaves stuff behind...
But now I tested it in a different machine and it worked as you said it would.
why install?
as i wrote, you'll find the files with google
i.e.: http://www.google.de/search?q=libeay32.dll
and the first entry: DLL-files.com - libeay32.dll, free download
http://www.driverfiles.net/page,dll,download,93.html
and this could be done with all 3 files... and it will work

newer version
libssl32.dll is a newer version of ssleay.dll. Where can I find it?
EDIT: never mind. They seem to be two different files, and I found them in system32.
