I'm new to using flash drives. Just for the heck of it I bought a Keystone 1Gb USB 2.O and installed Firefox Portable. Everything was fine. I had a carbon copy of my regular FF. That is until I installed the onFocus Reload add-on. On restarting FF the browser freezes immediately after opening, with this message in a box: ! [object Event]. I know how to deal with unruly add-ons by starting FF in Safe Mode to disable/remove, but I don't see any way to do it with Portable.
Any Ideas?

Click Start/Run then type in the location of your portable firefox followed by -safe-mode.
Mine would be:
B:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\firefox.exe -safe-mode
All you need to do is change the B: for whatever drive your flash drive is on. Then it will start in safemode.
This way won't be portable though, so may leave traces on your computer. Someone else can probably give you a more "correct" way to do this using the .ini files. This will do the trick though.
Just execute from the command line:
FirefoxPortable.exe -safe-mode
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks for the replies, but while checking out the site I found the whole Firefox suite and replaced the stand-alone browser.
Before I put this thing on my key-ring and head out the door, is there such a think as one lock to password protect the whole flash stick?
I wish I had this thing last June when I escaped upstate New York's flood with just my wallet, cell phone and keys in a zip-lock bag held over my head, wading through water up to my armpits to the pontoon boat. What a hassle using strange computers without having stored bookmarks and passwords!

Do you mean the Mozilla Suite, Netscape, Seamonkey or Firefox, Thunderbird and Sunbird all together? Cause the first 3 aren't portable.
