the latest version of Kaspersky TDSS Killer hosted here at portableapps.com is refusing to install correctly...
has an error popup that reads
Download Error: File Not Found [404] on file
http://media.kaspersky.com/utilities/VirusUtilities/EN/tdsskiller.exe
i was just wondering if anyone else has seen this error ?? because how do i remedy that...
i've tried using the platform get apps feature * and * the manual download off the site and using install a portable app... thingy from the platform menu and telling it to install from the manual download file on my desktop [same error both methods] ..
both ClamWin and Panda AV [the free version] from pandasecurity.com] checked on the on the downloaded manually file [came up clean on both of them]
if it helps any:
i have the latest version of the platform
my machine is running Windows 11 Home 64 bit [version 22H2]

The publisher has renamed it to Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and changed the download locations. We've updated our version to match. You can install it now.

I possibly should have started a new thread for this however...
I've had no trouble installing Kaspersky TDSS Killer, but it won't run. After accepting the licence agreement I get an error message: "Can't load driver". When I click "OK" on this message, the application quits.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 22H2.
I get similar issue on Windows 7 x64. After accepting the license agreement nothing happens, the application simply shuts down. I don't even get the "can't load driver" error message as you get.
Please use Rev 2 which fixes this issue.

I note that Kaspersky VRT appears to be a much more comprehensive scanner than TDSS killer. Or at least the scan took considerably longer than TDSS killer. Not that this is a problem.

KVRT is not really the new TDSS Killer,it's a different product but it can find anything that TDSS Killer could find and much more, so Kaspersky decided that TSSD Killer is no longer needed and redirected it's page to KVRT. Another important difference is that KVRT becomes obsolete every few days and you need to download again the updated version if you want to scan again (like Microsoft Safety Scanner), so it should be maintained by PA the same way as mssPortable
BTW It's already says "this version is obsolete"

Ok, now when i try to download the new version, if fails with this error message:

Isn't it supposed to be called now Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool Portable?
EDIT 2: Downloading the installer straight from your website worked!
TDSSKiller is in the AppID and hence filename. Those usually don't change. I had made a typo in the updater database and it's fixed now so platform updates and installs will work.
