Firefox running in flashdrive blocks usage

I cannot stop a firefox portable from running in my flashdrive. It blocks me from calling up firefox portable and using it.

Thanks.

Firefox running in flashdrive prevents use

I started firefox portable then decided to move on to something else. When I returned to the flashdrive, firefox portable was running in the flashdrive but not visible. I tried starting ff port but keep getting a "ff port is currently running" error message.

I tried shutting it down with the task manager without success.

task manager: ctrl alt del

In Windows XP, brings up some options and windows, one of them is Task Manager. Click on that, find anything with "Firefox" in the name, and click on "End Proicess"

But your message says you tried that, so I'm guessing that you probably have to just restart the computer to make sure everything is really closed.

Thanks consul and others

Thanks folks.

Silly me, I assumed the PC version was not running when I clicked the "X" close.
