Just before my 3 month old PQI flash drive died, I did a full backup using the Portable Apps main menu backup utility.
When I get my replacement flash drive, do I install Portable Apps then go to the backup menu and restore, or do I unzip my backup file and simply copy it to the new flash drive?

but its more convenient to install the base edition of the suite and all the updates and then do a restore via the menu.

When I got my new flash drive(4GB wins), I just un-zipped the last backup straight to the new drive. that is the easiest I think.
