VLC- Newbie

HI
I have downloaded VLC applicationto my USB. But i am not sure how it works. Can i take a video from, You tube and save it to my Mobile (it is Sony Eriksson).

I personally do not know of a way to grab a movie off of youtube with VLC.

I would suggest VDownloader (from Portable Freeware which is also compatable with the PAM), download it as a avi, then put on your phone. If your phone doesn't do avi's, then save it as whatever it does. Need more help let me know.
