This site and these forums are getting more and more popular by the day. We even have -gasp- the GP(general public) downloading and posting in the forums. It does seem like you get a prompt to request an app right after you register, but we know that is not true.
Suggestion to all the regulars around here:
Take it easy. Try to be kind, direct them to the information they are requesting, then show them how to get the info themselves. Some of these new people might one day be able to contribute to our community and bashing, sighing, whining about things that have been discussed before helps no one and simply allows the posted to vent. Not productive at all.
BTW-BuddhaChu this was not specifically directed at you. Just all of us should try to watch our tone.

Point taken and I know it wasn't a "jab" at me.
I DID try to link to the Search link, but the stupid Drupal software redirects it to the thread you try to do that from and that's frustrating! I always try to throw peeps a bone to get going and that "bug" prevents me from doing that.
In the future I'll try to prevent myself from turning into a 800 pound forum gorilla.

As all of ya should know Micro$oft is the Evil Empire, and Windows (a.k.a. Winblows or Windoze) is their greatest general, so please make a difference and install Linux or FreeBSD on yer Windows comp.

Sip or Voip are no good competitors of Skype. Because Skype works in any environment because of encryption, no firewall problems, no bandwidth throttling and no much decencies on servers. Skype is easy, makes less problems, that`s why most people are using it.
Sadly but true... There is currently not a single one promising Open Source project which could beat Skype. (peer to peer pc to pc chat/audio/video + firewall workarround)
