Splash screen won't go away.

Since installing, deleting & re-installing, 7-Zip Portable it seems the 7-Zip splash screen will not go away. It has also caused the splash screen for Portable Firefox to take a minute, or more, to go away. The app seems to work well I just can't see behind the splash screen & it stays on top. I deleted it in the hopes the problem would go away but to no avail. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have deleted all recently added apps & still find the Firefox splash screen taking about a minute to go away with the splash for TB & FreeCommander never going away. The splash for FreeCommander does go to a watermark mode though so information behind it can still be read. OO Portable Apps splash goes away when the OO splash comes up & it goes away in the normal opening of the app. When I tried adding TB back, after deleting it, I found its screen again would not go away causing the dialog box for adding an account to appear behind the splash. Before activating 7-Zip & FileZilla all apps I had activated were opening just fine with the splash screen going away during the time the app was opening. So I am still
