I have seen some people have already suggested this, but they don't look very convinced. Well, let me tell you that there is already a portable version.

Description: A source code editor and integrating tools ide. It has colored syntaxis, code folding, code browser, code autocompletion, output capturing (useful when you integrate compilers), and support for a wide set of languages (uses ctags)

Note: There is a registry entry: HKCU\Echo Software\PN2\, which is just a remnant of an older version, which storerd information in the registry. Currently this key only keeps the list of words of the find-replace dialog, and can be ignored or deleted safely
Just use Notepad++ Portable instead. Much better

Programmer's Notepad2 > Notepad++
