Is PortableApps alive?

Hello to everybody.

I'd like to know if PortableApps is alive since last software update was made in August.

Thanks.

Sure is

John's just waiting until (supposedly this week) to release them all at once.

Hmmpf

Other open source projects have months, sometimes year delays between releases, and they usually don't get questioned. You can see there's plenty of activity in the forums. Microsoft has a few years between there releases, no one questions them. Blum

The deal is that there

If you would take the time to read some of forums instead of just assuming the project is dead, you would see that John has a lot in the works. Updates to someapps are coming, some apps are going from beta into final release status, John is setting up space for other developers to contribute, so its no longer just a 1 man project. He's working on updating the menu, finalizing how the theming for the menu will work, doing bug fixes. He's constantly working. Please read a little bit next time.

I can read your mind...

...and I agree 100% with what you thought you should have posted yet changed your mind about. Wink

Word!

Word!
The thing about Open Source development is that it doesn't have any official release dates. In fact it usually doesn't have any release dates at all! Like I have seen on this forum before "It come outs when it comes out."
