LibreOffice version 7.6.0 Help

Submitted by Motim on August 30, 2023 - 5:57am

Hello,
After updating "LibreOffice Portable"
from 7.5.4 to 7.6.0 have some problem with calc spreadsheet:
The Spreadsheet has 12 sheets, each one is a month of the year. The order is from right to left. The most right is for January and the most left is for December.
After the update, the same spreadsheet opens with December at the most right and so January at the most left.
Changing the direction from right to left does not change the order of the sheets.
All settings were copied from previous installation.
How can I correct it ?

7.5.5.2 Calc totally unresponsive

Submitted by rockpick on August 19, 2023 - 11:55am

I just updated Libre Office through the portableapps updates.

Writer and Base seem to run OK. Calc will open, slowly, but once open is very unresponsive to any inputs. If I click on a menu item nothing happens in any reasonable time. If I wait long enough, as in minutes, I might get a response, or I might not.

I have also noticed that the LibreOffice opener just brings up an empty window.

I have the PortableApps application installed in: D:\PortableApps_Com

Integrity Failure Warning: LibreOffice Portable

I installed LibreOffice portable using PortableApps software on my primary Windows 10 PC. I sync the PortableApps folder with other Windows PCs. The problem I’m having is that LibreOffice apps open ok on my primary PC, but on the other PCs, I’m getting the “Integrity Failure Warning: LibreOffice Portable” error.

[Closed] LibreOffice doesn't launch after update

Submitted by bango on May 23, 2023 - 12:23pm

Portableapps platform suggested to update LibreOffice, so I did. Now LibreOffice doesn't launch. It displays the splash screen briefly but nothing happens after that. I'm on Windows 10 desktop. I don't remember which version was the previous LibreOffice, and I don't know which version is the current. Any tips?

Path length breaks spell check in Libre Fresh and Previous

Submitted by jxf11 on May 14, 2023 - 1:48pm

I was editing a document with Libre Previous Writer and tried to turn on spell checking that underlines mis-spelled words in red.

I was unable to activate the feature and in the course of troubleshooting discovered that both Libre Fresh and Previous can not underline mis-spelled words in red if the install path is 58 characters long or greater.

OpenOffice underlined mis-spelled words fine with the default install path of 64 characters on my system.

I have the PortableAppsPlatform folder installed in C:\Portable which only adds 8 characters to the total length.

Standard edition may have some locale-dependent files from non-included locales?

Submitted by Anton_D on April 11, 2023 - 5:32am

I just compared LO Standard with all, and I see some files in the standard version, which looks like locale-dependent from non-included locales for me, but they are still here. So the question is: am I wrong, or they are really locale-dependent, but there are some other reasons, why they are not removed?

I am talking about following folders:

\share\autocorr
\share\fingerprint
\share\numbertext
\share\wizards

LibreOffice 7.4.5 spelling issue with dict-de-de-frami-2017-01-12.oxt

Submitted by ulrich-w on March 29, 2023 - 4:48am

In my working environment I cannot install software, so I set up LibreOffice inside my Documents folder.
Unfortunately the German dictionary seems missing, so I tried to install dict-de-de-frami-2017-01-12.oxt.
However that never worked: Installation begins, but aborts, and the result is some half-way installed German dictionary.
Interestingly I copied the portable folder from Documents to Downloads, and then I could install the extension, and I verified it's working.
