Been a couple of years since I posted a blog post here at portableapps.com, so I guess I'll change that up a little.

Most of you all know I'm the main developer of PChat and PChat Portable, things are a little slow at the moment and I do apologize for that fact, been trying to balance a life, coding and well just everything in general (doesn't mean I'm giving up on PChat though, heck no I'm getting ideas on improving things :P).

PChat 2.0 shaping up

Ok PChat 2.0 I kept on saying it and never gave any real details on it's progress, well this is a progress report, thanks to a friend of mine who is more adept at c++ than I am has been assisting me in creating an entirely new interface that isn't dependent on GTK+ but on WxWidgets, so this means 1) PChat will still be cross platformable and 2) we will get a more native look for each operating system it's ported too.

PChat 1.0.4 shaping up to be a good release

howdy all,

ok normally for the windows release I would be using libwimp for my theme of choice on PChat but since it’s horribly broken in the new release of gtk 2.20, I’ve decided to use a different theme,

so I’ve searched and searched and searched some more, and then I found murrine so I’ve compiled the engine against gtk 2.20 and used the gtrc file from Murrine-Gray and here is the end result

Direction of PChat

howdy guys,

Just a general question, as you people are the end users of PChat, in which direction would you like to see PChat go in, like what features would, you the users, would like to see in future releases if possible.

I for one am going to try and see about getting dcc fixed so that when it's used dcc actually works and also try and get a proper working tray.

Anyways let me know what you would like to see done in PChat and I'll do what I can

hey guys, just to let you all know, due to some circumstances I'm cutting my self off from the internet just for a little bit, I just have some personal issues that I have to fix and they can't fixed until I cut myself off of the internet, don't worry it's nothing serious but it's serious enough to affect my walk with God as a Christian.

anyways it's been a long time since I posted here in my blog at portableapps.com.
Some updates I am working on will be

  • A New NSISPortable Pre-Release (using John's Patch he made, even loaded my a test computer with the beta version of Windows 7 for testing)
  • also a new release for dvdstyler to 1.7.2 to hopefully push it into a full release and move it from Pre-Release stage

howdy all,

Just want y'all to know that I am going to be working on more releases of apps to come like NSISPortable and another release of DVDStylerPortable too. For DVDStylerPortable, I finally got around to fixing a small empty folder left behind in the appdata folder. NSISPortable is a project I took on from the other Zach on the team with the surname of Hudock. This is going to pre-release as soon as I package it up.
