Hi,
why eat ThunderbirdPortable.exe over 40 MB! ram? And stay after starting thunderbird?
My Thunderbird need only 23 MB RAM.
Can i do something? (force thunderbirdportable.exe to end after starting thundbird, or need less memory?)
Best Regard,
quetzal
That's higher than it should be. I just checked 2.0.0.17 and it only uses 8.7MB. And it's a bit misleading since most of that can get swapped out to disk if memory is tight since it's not actively doing anything except waiting for TB to close so it can clean up after it. Are you sure you're using the latest launcher (version 1.6.1.0)?

Hi,
thanks for your answer. Yes - ich use the last launcher (version 1.6.10)
Wow - 9 MB - it's ok! - but 40MB
I don't know witch information i can give you.
I've Windows Vist, 2 GB RAM - used: 300 MB (without any application, with: ca. 500):

maybe it helps.

You're using Process Explorer and I think it is associating thunderbird.exe's memory to ThunderbirdPortable.exe. If you use regular task manager (built into Windows) it will show the memory just for TBP.

Wow - thanks amazing!
With taskmgr.exe TBP has only 2,1 MB and thunderbird.exe 20 MB
Thanks and best regards,
