What are you trying to do with what? Your post is extremely vague at best and baren of any info at worst...
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do or say will be exaggerated or mis-quoted and used against you.
Depends what you're doing. In some cases, no ports need to be opened at all, since a lot of programs work just fine behind a firewall. Every program's different, though, so ultimately, where you have to "drill holes" in your firewall depends on your specific setup. It's not something that's the same for everyone.
