[Outdated] PhotoFiltre Studio Portable 9.2.2 [Launcher Only] Test 3

Application: PhotoFiltre Studio
Category: Graphics & Pictures
Description: PhotoFiltre Studio allows you to do simple or advanced adjustments to an image and apply a vast range of filters on it. PhotoFiltre Studio is simple and intuitive to use, and has an easy learning curve. The toolbar, giving you access to the standard filters with just a few clicks, gives PhotoFiltre Studio a robust look. PhotoFiltre Studio also has layer manager (with Alpha channel), advanced brushes, nozzles (or tubes), red eye corrector, batch module and lot of other powerful tools.

Download PhotoFiltre Studio Portable 9.2.2 Launcher Only [237KB download / 279KB installed]
(MD5: 269e817b87d1a655b9dc527885979cc4)

Notes:

Please note that PhotoFiltre Studio is shareware. So only the launcher is provided. At the end of the 30-day trial period, if you want to continue using PhotoFiltre Studio you will need to purchase a registration key from the program author.

After the launcher installation (eg. X:\PortableApps\PhotoFiltreStudioPortable), you must copy the content of your local copy of PhotoFiltre Studio (eg. C:\Program Files\PhotoFiltre Studio) in the portable application directory (X:\PortableApps\PhotoFiltreStudioPortable\App\PhotoFiltreStudio).

Known issues:

If you use PhotoFiltre Studio Portable on several computers, you must enter your license information once on each computer (at the end of the 30-day trial period). This is an issue related to PhotoFiltre Studio registration and can't be bypassed by this launcher.

Please note that you couldn't use this launcher with the latest version of PhotoFiltre Studio X.

Excuse me, but

John specified that Development Test s are only for OSS apps, and freeware portables are labeled 'Launcher Only'.

Stop

digitxp, we've told you so many times now. Can you please stop with the sarcasm, cockyness or whatever it is. I'm sure it may be unintentional, but please watch it. "Excuse me but John specified..." - He probably just didn't see the post, so you could have just said:

Hey! Thanks for your work on this, I'm sure others will find it handy. However, could you please rename the topic and file to (Launcher Only) and remove the development test part as John's specified it is only for complete and open source applications right now. Thanks!

Sorry,

Maybe I should read the Tempering Responses again.

Please Patrick

could you point me to the guidelines about "Launcher Only" applications ?

For now, I removed the label "Development Test" and added the label "Launcher Only" to my launcher, as you asked.

My launcher uses the splash screen available here and I post a request to add the launcher in this topic yesterday. Unfortunately I don't really know if it is against the guidelines of "Launcher Only" applications.

It's a bit fuzzy on PortableApps.com to find the right guidelines for the right application. Maybe you could clarify which guidelines to use for which type of application ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sure

The topic is here. No, I'm afraid you can't use the development test splash screen for this program as John says in that topic, a development test is a 'full, open source application'.

Anything that is released under and OSI Approved license you may package full and call a development test, use the splash screen, etc. If the software is not open source, but still free, just do as you're doing, make just a launcher and label it Launcher Only (Test X).

Cheers

Just wanted to thank you and offer my support in continuing to develop this. What do the graphic guys think of setting up a launcher only splash screen for apps like this, and ccleaner. I think it should be based on the dev splash screen just with different text?

Anyway thanks bgillis : )

Thanks for your help

I want to let you know I've just released an updated version of my launcher. A development splash screen for launcher only portable appplications would be a great addition. Feel free to suggest this to John T. Haller.
