portable aps are fun but:
1)there is no password manager, so these still are stored on a machine or paper which must be less secure,
2)the aps seem to be operation system dependent,
3)no form of tex such as miktex,

1) KeePassPortable = password manager
2) Yes, these portable packages contain only the Windows versions of the applications. Some of these apps will work within Wine under linux though. Also, many of the apps have linux or Mac versions available, but not in portable format.
3) You can make a request for a specific app if you wish, and if our developers have time, it will most likely get worked on. Follow this format for making a request.
