Wow, this is nice, Will test it out.
I tried to download it but i keep getting an error message that says that the server couldn't be found. Could fix your link.
I was working on the download part of the site yesterday, for about a hour or so.
The link should work again now

I tried three times and i still get the same message:
Address Not Found
Firefox can't find the server at mmfail.co.cc.
The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.
* Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org")
* Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration may have expired.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
Any ideas why?
I honestly wouldn't know, it works fine for me..... server issues or something like that is my best bet.

can you put it on sourceforge or megaupload? Those work fine for me. I really want to try it out.
This game is nice. Thanks for developing it.

EDIT:Found out that I had some time...

Just tried it.
I canceled once I was sure it was working, but it was working

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
I'll use it on a limited account to see if it works.
EDIT:
I attempted at school (limited account, behind proxy server) and it crashed. It couldn't connect to the server, and items.xml couldn't load. I'd try without the proxy server if i could, but alas i cannot. And I was hoping it'd work...

Works fine on a limited account for me on xp MCE 2005
Seems the proxy prevents from connecting.
It probably didn't really crash, but it you cannot loggout and such yet, so instead of returning to the login screen it quit.

I just tested it and it works fine for me.... the server might have had some issues, I really don't know. Please try again, I hope it works for you this time.
Edit: I decided to add a mirror for it, so hopefully issues like this should be prevented from now on.

Mirror one is most likely broken. It's saying the file size is about 200 bytes. Just bringing this to attention.

I think its the fact that he lives in the Netherlands and so the server can't work in the U.S. (or something like that, I really have no idea). I've had that same problem too. Others say its worked though (in case you haven't read the posts). Luckily, there's mirror 2.
Actually, the first server is not in the Netherlands, while the second one is. Besides, that shouldn't really matter. I'll contact the first servers host though to see what the problem might be.
Edit: I found the issue, I messed something up while uploading. Sorry guys, my apologies for the inconvenience.

well, if something messed up while uploading, why did other people get the download?
The second mirror I assume? And it wasn't exactly while uploading, but the file permissions, so it might have been something I messed up later, I'm not sure.

The Mana World Portable Notes
title for help file will need to be changed upon release, just set it up as if it was released.
The appinfo.ini Publisher=Michon van Dooren & http://themanaworld.org/about.php should just say "& the Mana world team" or something akin
That's all for today. I haven't regshoted yet to make sure all else functions, but I assume from talking to you that it shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, about the 9...
The updates should be downloaded since they change at times and isnt ment to be packaged in with it I think but... and updates come and go...
1. I'm not really sure about why I added that, but you're right, I haven't seen any app with it. Will be fixed in Dev Test 4.
2. I don't understand what you mean with this part, could you explain yourself in more detail please?
3. That was left over from a older version, it will be removed in Dev Test 4.
4. NSIS is all about GOTO's, unfortunately. I hate em, but I have to live with em I'll take a look to see if I have any unneeded ones though, as part of a general code cleanup.
5. What should I change the title to, Pre-Release 1?
6a. Copied it from FFP, I see most apps don't have it so I might as well remove it.... doesn't hurt though. I'll see if I'll remove it for Dev Test 4.
6b. Will take a look at that.
7. That would be http://www.PortableApps.com/TMWPortable right? Changed it for Dev Test 4.
8. I'll add it to the notes.
9. The updates change so this might not be a good idea. For people who want to save the updates on their USB, it will only be a bit of downloading the first run anyway, and they will be sure of having the most recent updates.

About Number 2: The ini includes support for things that I've heard are no longer needed. Don't worry about it unless someone complains.
Number 4: Yeah, unfortanately I couldn't see any good way to fo it either. Maybe its just me. Don't worry to much.
Number 9: I don't know the game or the code, this is something the more experienced will have to handle, it was, after all, only a suggestion.

Thanks again for this and I hope you continue to update this as the game is developed.

Game did run and came up to login screen on XP machine with very limited rights. Unfortunately wasn't able to get through the proxy automatically. not sure f this is a setting I have to modify or how.
PortableApps.com Advocate
The port TMW uses is probably blocked, I'm not sure how to circumvent this. Using a proxy will most likely work, but I never tried it.... as far as I know there are no settings in TMW for it, editing the proxy settings for IE will affect TMW too, if I remember correct. Keep in mind that the person who created the block will probably not be happy with people circumventing it.

Not planning on playing this at work just wanted to test if the game would run on a limited account and it does. Just there is a possible issue with proxys. However this is a base app issue I guess. I can't wait to see this go official

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I'm guessing this means TMW is on the cusp of becoming pre-release?
