Release: PortableSoulseek Launcher

Soulseek(tm) is a unique ad-free, spyware free, and just plain free file sharing application.

After a lot of tweaking, and testing, here is a launcher for the request in This Thread. After one customization, you will have a self-contained, portable, and personalized Soulseek. All instructions and required information can be found in the READMEFIRST.txt file. Source code is included.

I made

I made one for personal use a couple of weeks ago as well, it's based on Karl Loncarek's Portable Application Template, has been running fine so far. Unfortunately, I couldn't test it on different computers. Nice app BTW Wink

how does soulseeker compare with limewire?

They use two different networks. LimeWire uses Gnutella while Soulseek (I believe) uses its own network. Apples and oranges.

Not really apples and oranges. Gnutella is huge, and it's easy to find things. I hate that I can't use Limewire at the library. I'll try Soulseek, though.

Limewire does not contain spyware. Check the source code yourself.
