I couldn't find a black theme over here for PortableApps,
so I quickly made one myself.
In case anyone is interested..

It's not bad. A black theme should radiate blackness, should pull the light into it and draw you to it. This isn't so much that but more like black-and-white TV, moreso the icons. It isn't bad though, and I think I'll use it for a while. I generally prefer black to red, but I do not prefer this theme to the default. The new default theme is just real slick, for red.
Not that I could do any better, mind you, just saying.
The grey corners somebody mentioned below are hardly noticeable on my screen, but it's clearly a case of using a contrasting grey as opposed to the transparent color. PNG should support transparency, so however your graphic program handles that, just change that real quick, but it's not necessary, and if that were the only change, I wouldn't even bother. I would suggest that the black be deeper. Keep the shimmery style of the official menu, but in black, and that would be really cool.
PS - That's Windows 7 I'm using, and if you point at that off-color bit to the right of the clock, it lets you peek at the desktop (clicking it minimizes everything). Windows 7 is really cool, but it lags so bad, I'm afraid I might have to go back to XP...
I replaced the Black theme's background.png with the background image from the Blue Palm theme and got this:

What, BTW, is the purpose of the background_opaque.png image? I didn't replace it and the theme looks fine.

You should make some themes for Appetizer. I haven't seen your themes that you've created but hey, I trust that your a good artist.
I am sorry to say this since it is an awesome theme. On the top-left and top-right corners there is a fade of gray where it should be clear.
May the Shwartz be with you
I made this theme since my whole desktop is like an old school black and white tv,
and the red messed a bit with the feeling it had,
so the only thing I did was take the red theme,
turn it into greyscale,
and voila.
(I can't design it myself)
It was for in case somebody was interested,
as I said,
it was made in a quicky..
Still,
if you love the theme,
thank the designer of PA.com themselves,
since I didn't do a thing about it,
or maybe ruin it a bit in their eyes..
As I said it was something I made for myself,
and shared with the community..
