Portable Firefox 3.0?

I just found out about Firefox 3.0 on http://googlesystem.blogspot.com, and was wondering how to make it portable.
Download from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/

Copy it in

Install it locally and then copy it in. Method 1 of Localization:

It isn't really worth it, though. It's just a branch split of the FF 2.0 code at this point. Nothing really new.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I still don't get why they're working on 3.0 already when 2.0 isn't even completed yet. If you have a 2.0 branch and 3.0 branch based on an incomplete 2.0, then any features added to 2.0 before release won't get into 3.0. Kinda stupid if you ask me...

Actually, 3.0 is still on

Actually, 3.0 is still on the trunk. 2.0 is a branch split from the trunk.

That gives a better explanation about how the thing is working. It has a good diagram too. Smile So it all makes sense...

So let me get this straight... any code committed to any branch automatically gets committed to the trunk as well? I suppose that makes more sense, then. As long as 3.0 stays on the trunk until 2.0 is released, everything should be fine.

why

The reason I asked is because I don't want to install it, so if you can do it, thanks.
Also, ver. 3 uses less memory, according to that page.
I tried extracting the files out of the installer but ended up with a strange file structure.
