Firefox logoPortableApps.com is proud to announce the release of Mozilla Firefox®, Portable Edition 3.0.12 (Legacy Edition). It's the current Mozilla Firefox browser from the older 3.0 release bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app, so you can take your browser, bookmarks, settings and extensions on the go. It's intended for web page testers and the small percentage of users who have not yet updated to 3.5. This new release updates Firefox to 3.0.12 and expands the languages available to include Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Russian and Spanish (Spain and International). It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And, as always, it's open source and completely free.

New in This Release

In this release, Firefox has been updated to 3.0.12 (release notes).

Auto-Update Issue

If you allow Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition to auto-update, some non-personal files may remain on the local PC. This will be addressed in a later release.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

You forgot to update the legacy download link on the main Firefox Portable app page. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. >_>

Signature automatically removed for being too awesome.

Forgot about that part, thanks Smile

Yup thank you so much John. I should've read the Legacy Section, but did not come across it any earlier Smile

Now I know why it's painful to release it - there's so many localization you've to build. Thanks for all your efforts.

When you say some non-personal files remain on the pc does that mean temp files or files that are required for the app to remain portable? I have it set to only auto update add-ons but it still auto updated?!

Thanks for all the hard work.

It shouldn't have (unless you accidentally clicked the button). We have it off by default.

Nothing to worry about, honestly. Everything should still work properly. We just have that notice there because portable apps should not leave anything behind.

Just curious, what's the difference between regular and legacy, other than legacy's older?

Lrgacy is older. Everyone is supposed to use the new version but sometimes people are forced to use the older one or they simply prefer it over the new one.
