Really not sure where to post this, so I hope it's okay to ask it here. I love having an official portable version of Skype but have a question. Why is the Extras option disabled? My daughter who lives 1700 miles away and I like to play some of the Skype games, and there are some extremely useful things such as collaboration tools, call recorders and avatar managers, for example. Is there a technical reason why extras wouldn't work with the portable version of Skype?
a better place to post this question? or a way to get Extras working?
Cheers!

In testing earlier, I remember that the extras were not portable. No additional work was put in for this release because Skype Extras is being shutdown.

I'm sorry to hear that; but very good to know. I appreciate your help!
Cheers!

Hi John,
I noticed on the Skype site they are still selling Extras things and I didn't find them saying anything about shutting it down.
Can we get a reporting source for that?
Or were you just emphasizing that there won't be support for Extras in the final portable version.

Skype is fully shutting down the entire extras program:

It's been a while and extras are still around?
Unfortunately, the feature "Extras" is not part of the portable version. If you wish to use this feature, then you have two options:
This adapted version of Skype contains the so-called "Skype Extras Manager". The Skype Extras Manager provided opt-in access to third-party plug-in applications, such as call recorders, fax applications, enterprise calling applications, and games.
The download of the customized version of Skype you can realize through the Skype Shop.
Without the usage of the Skype Extras Manager you also have the option to install individual plug-in applications via the Skype Shop.
