I've been waiting for this app for a while now. With this kind of app, having an out of date version makes the program completely unusable. I can FINALLY start using this program again.

No offence, but what took so long?

It was a bit of a changeover from 4.x to 5.x in terms of functionality. So, they built the new one but I had some issues testing it (and apparently missed an email). Going forward, each release should be under 48 hours Smile

If there's a portable version, there's a reason. In this instance, TeamViewer themselves are providing the portable version - they agreed that a special wrapper or something was needed.

So that, in this case, the pApps version is just setting the usual folder layout or is there anything not "really" portable in the official portable release? Thanks.

Portable versions of applications follow a certain directory structure to allow easy installation with PortableApps.com installers, backup of data and things like that, and also they actually make the application portable.

I don't entirely understand what you mean though - everything is "really" portable in the official portable release.

Are you sure that the Portable version of TeamView is freeware?

Both the TeamView website and the Readme.txt say that Using TeamViewer 5 Portable requires a TeamViewer Premium or Corporate license.

As Chris already told you, the TeamViewer developers made the portable version themselves. I haven't confirmed, but it's likely that the download on their page is the same exact one that's here.
