create me a chess game

since my computer don work can u install this in to your pc and turn the files to a portableapp plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. there is da link, http://www.supashare.net/6of40ffign9j

please read the guide on how to make a request next time

there are plenty of FOSS chess games out there and some of the older ones are portable by design. like for example i have one that is now in public domain that ran off a floppy disk in DOS. simple basic and portable.

Puoet Chess

Actually there is Brutal Chess in the development forum which works pretty well. I am also in the processes of packaging Puoet Chess which is really a neat program. Very portable, just working out the help file details.

(I also requested this program before)

this will be welcomed in PA.com, but the licence needs ChessBase allowing to portabilize, because its freeware (not opensource)

2) There are many topics about Chess here

Now there are 2 open source chess games available! One can not always get what they want and sometimes must settle for alternatives.

2) Thank You for portabilize PouetChess.

3) PouetChess - I found that program several years ago, and its extremely strong (probably over 2200 ELO FIDE) and very small sized, tiny program. Very nice. Indeed.

4) but You are not fully correct.

a) Pouet is (playing engine + GUI), but ChessBase, and others are rather "chess databases" with games viewing, replay, save, load pgn, analysis, move suggestions, opening books, learning features, searching in pgn games databases within keywords - name of player, used opening, place of tournament, and more)

b1) or "GUI-only" such as Arena, Merlin, Tarrasch, WinBoard/xBoard, ...

b2) Chess playing engine could be installed into that GUI) - Rybka (Free Version), Crafty, etc...

My thoughts

  • WHY did you post a link that brings me back to this page?
  • I do not know the sight from which you ask me to download the file from so I will not.
  • Why not even tell me the name of the program you want portable.
  • What is so different about this program then the other 2?
  • Fifth and foremost why DEMAND why not try your hand at making it portable?

    Its frreware for non-commercial

    (of course they´re trying to offer upgrade to Light Premium version .... but LIGHT is FREE !!!!!

    Try to installation process and all will be clear in licence agreement

    in is an open source, cross platform, graphical client for chess servers, written in Java. Jin can run either as a standalone application (available at this website) or as an applet, directly from your browser (available at the chess server's website).
