Why not do the portable version of KeePass 2.0?

.NET

The reason is that it relies on .NET, and that currently can't be expected on all computers.

I'm sure that .NET will be acceptable some time in the future either as being a separate category of application or in recognition of the fact that eventually .NET is on enough computers to be viable or maybe both.

2.x Not Necessarily Better Than 1.x

In addition to what JNeutron said, version 2.x is not a higher version than version 1.x (despite the numbers). 2.x is a completely separate development branch using a different set of programming tools to create and build the Keepass application (i.e. .NET). The 1.x series has all the functionality most average users should need.

I have to give a big fat thumbs down to the Keepass development team because they certainly haven't thought out this whole two-development-branches thing very well at all. Most users are extremely confused by it.

Hello

There was no need to post this same thing 3 times, your other 2 posts have been removed.

[Also note that your link in your signature file has been removed, you have already placed it in the homepage field next to your user name, that is sufficient]

Thanks for understanding
and Welcome to PortableApps.com

Legality of other app

On your site, you redistribute LogMeIn Ignition; that's commercial software - I presume it's not legal? You should remove it from your site if it's not.
