I have installed the Portable Apps launcher and when I attempt to create a portable app I receive an error:
NSIS was not found!
I suspect that I have done something dramatically wrong or have just not installed something correctly.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mark
As stated on the Launcher page, you need to install NSIS Portable from this site to make the installer work.
You didnt do anything wrong, you are just missing a key component

As per your instructions, downloaded and installed NSIS. Start PortableApps.com Launcher and received the same error. NSIS was not found! (Looked for it itn ..\PortableApps\NSISPortable|App|NSIS)
What am I doing wrong here!
Thanks!
Mark
It had some issues when you had an older version of NSIS portable installed previously.
What happens if you delete ..\PortableApps\NSISPortable\Data and ..\PortableApps\PortableApps.comLauncher\Data and relaunch?

That appears to have done the trick, now I have to learn how to create the appinfo.ini file ... it appears that there is more to this than I originally anticipated! Back to the learning and reading the documentation!
If you have any suggestions please let me know!
Thanks for your help.
if you take a look at existing apps and read the PortableApps.com Format Specification
Have fun
