I'm using OOo Portable (3.0 according to Help -> About OOo) which seems to be the latest available on the site (though others are mentioning 3.1.1, I installed this less then a month ago from this site). If this is incorrect, I'm sorry, just point me to the upgrade.
I'm inserting formulas into the text (font: Times New Roman) as I'm taking notes in class with OOop (the p is for portable, my own nomenclature). Some of the characters aren't showing up in the inserted formula as evidenced in this screen shot.

To confirm this issue, I checked it in my local install (which is the latest from Oracle, 3.2.1, had I known this would be an issue I wouldn't have upgraded when it was released).

As you can see, the formula displays correctly. The missing marks are paranthesis, addition signs, as well as the square root sign (not used in the example) and possibly other mathematical symbols.
I noticed there was a font issued mentioned in the support pages for OOop, would this font issue be the source of my issues? If so, sorry for bugging you guys. Otherwise, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Eventually I'm going to be dealing with rather complex formula's (I'm studying to be an electrician and possibly an electronics tech).
