Other: A zipped 'portable' version is available for download. Development is ongoing and supported.
I think this would be a great addition - it's extremely user-friendly, and even a beginner can make nice photo montages.
This one looks great. I'd really appreciate this being made truly portable. Maybe this could be my first timer.
Seems easy enough to start trying (don't know what issues could come up with mplayer though). I have some spare time left on wednesday, if no one want's to take over the job before...
I had a look at this today and its a nice app. Nice and useful.
It stores a settings file one folder up:
PhotoFilmStrip\PhotoFilmStrip-1.3.98\.PhotoFilmStrip
and
creates a folder C:\Docs and settings\username\Eigene PhotoFilmStrips
I only run and didnt actually use it so maybe it creates even more.
Go ahead and have fun doing it!

I found it, too. Regshot was fine so far, not much to fix afterwards. MEncoder end MPlayer both seem to leave behind nothing special.
Problem with the folder is, that it is possible to change it per user-action. As long as it is left untouched it could be specified in the .PhotoFilmStrip config file (I need to learn how to change the drive-letter...).
If you use the PortableApps.com Launcher (recommended), driveletter changes are easy to work with.

I just realized that it partly relies on MSVCP71.dll (redistributed as part of phyton). I am not shure if it's possible to redistribute it alongside with that app without breaking the EULA as I don't have VS 2003. I found differing oppinions via google, some stating that when repackaging phyton as component for another program, the EULA only applies to the developers of Phyton.
Could some experienced developer please clarify that issue?
MSVC???.dll are redistributable libraries from Microsoft. Yes.

lots if not the majority of apps released here include it.

That's fine. Thanks for the information.
What's the deal with MPlayer, is it included with it? I thought MPlayer was considered a security liability or is that just the GUI frontend version that PA.c used to package? I am I thinking of a completely different program entirely (in which case feel free to ignore this post)?
