Is the PA.c Opera 11 going to be free of that Bug that the PA.c Opera 10.63 had regarding the Profile Folder NOT working correctly? Cuz I don't want to waste time downloading it with my Dial Up if it's going to have the same Bug.

This bug was fixed in the earlier 11 test builds we did. So even if you have Opera pre-configured to open stuff you download (generally not a good idea) and leave the the external app open locking the file and preventing Opera's launcher from properly moving files back, it will copy them instead and use the proper copy on next launch. The downside is that the shutdown will take longer because you're locking files. The upside is that you'll still get a backup of the current settings when you do a data backup.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I'm not sure I understood all of that.
I THINK the last time around with the PA.c Opera 10.63, the way I found out immediately that something wasn't right was when I tried to put in my usual Bookmarks File in it that I use with my regular Opera. So, I went to Help > About Opera to see what the Path was in Portable Opera. And it of course said the Bookmarks File should go in the Profile Folder. THAT was when I realized I couldn't find the Profile Folder anywhere.
I think I recall that I seemed to be able to see the Profile Folder when I was actively using Opera, but NOT when I had it closed.
Well, I guess I'll just have to try it out and see if this time I CAN add my Bookmarks File and in general do everything I can with my regular Opera. I HAVE already given the regular Opera 11 a good test run today and it's working fine. So, I'll be able to tell whether there's something I can't do with the Portable Opera.
Can I get a clarification?
Does PA.c's version of Portable Opera create the Browser Cache right there in the Flash Drive? Or does it depend on a Setting?
I find myself confused by the casual references to app/data and so on in the threads I've searched so would appreciate guidance.
I wish to copy certain adr, dat and ini files plus the mail folder and the like from another instance of Opera (10.10) to be used by OperaPortable v11 but am not clear on the location(s) to which I should copy them.
I gather that the launcher moves files from A to B for "live" use (and moves them back on an orderly shutdown?) but my experiments to discover the value(s) of A have not gone well so a clear clue or two would be appreciated.
I'm happy to copy to OperaPortable10.63 and then place v11 over that if it would make any explanation easier and/or clearer or else to go straight to v11 if that avoids issues with profile behaviour in 10.63.
Thanks.
