password feature for platform

how about password proteccion for portableapps.com platform. in my case i have very sensitive info in my usbflash drive and one of my main concerns is to not loose it. What do you think?

If your information is that sensitive and you are that worried about it, the only way you can secure your data enough to be comfortable is with hardware encryption, which means buying a new USB drive, such as an IronKey.

Any level of protection that can be done at the portable apps level can be worked around far too easily.

If it's just

If it's just documents/images/personal files you want to protect then you can just create an encrypted volume using encryption software like TrueCrypt or FreeOTFE. This is not such a good solution for encrypting your entire PortableApps collection because it requires administrator rights (to be usable). If that's the case then as already mentioned a hardware encryption solution is best.
