I ran the automatic updater today, and updated all of my portable apps, including Foxit Reader. However, every time I run the updater again, it keeps telling me that there is a new version of Foxit Reader available; version 4.3.1.
The latest version identifies itself as version 4.3.1.0118 in the Help > About dialog box.
I did a Wireshark trace of the automatic update process. It lists the latest version as 4.3.1.119.
It looks like there is a mismatch between the actual version number and the version number that is communicated by the update process, which causes the Updates to always think that there is another versio available, even when it's just been updated.

It was missing a 0 in the db. 4.3.1.0119 is the 'internal' version number corresponding to 4.3.1. 4.3.1.0118 corresponds to 4.3.1 Pre-Release 1. It was missing the 0 though, so it was stuck in a loop.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
