I thought I'd check out Beta 5.

At first glance it does not seem to use much more memory and seems quite stable.

But what is that search box for at the bottom, when you click on the drive capacity information?

I was hoping it would work similarly to the Windows (Vista onwards) start menu search box, but it does not seem to do anything.

Rename

That's to rename the drive. It usually won't show up in Explorer until you eject and reinsert or reboot (Windows thing).

Thanks

...does it just change the autorun.ini entry then?

My PA files are part of a directory that is synced to all of my machines using Windows Live Mesh. I also sync the whole directory to a USB flash drives, but the cloud syncing is the main way I use it.

...so I just want to make sure that it cannot break anything.

Correct

It just does the autorun.inf. In a later release it will also rename the drive but be automatically disabled when run from a Windows system drive.
