Features

ScreenshotToDoList has been in continuous development for the last 6 years and is an ongoing project. Your tasklists are stored in XML which provides many opportunities for advanced formatting and printing using stylesheets. ToDoList's flexible design makes it ideal for both IT related projects as well as more general GTD uses. We welcome feature requests and respond promptly to all reports of bugs or unexpected behaviour.

Note that the current release will show 6.1.6 in the About box instead of 6.1.7. This is an oversight in the main app and will be fixed in the next release.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

ToDoList Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

I think I'm right in saying that if you want to add a different language as described above, you need to keep your language file backed up or it'll be deleted on the next update.

I could be wrong but from my limited experience with .paf launchers, they keep data untouched in the AppNamePortable\Data directory. So I tend to keep other non-inclusive files here as a backup and copy them to the AppNamePortable\App\AppName directory after an update. Thankfully not many of my apps require this!

An example is uTorrent. I use some icons sets I downloaded from their site. I keep them backed up in a zip file in this directory:

[IllegalSoftwareSuite]\PortableApps\uTorrentPortable\Data\settings\Icons.zip

After updating uTorrent, I copy them here:

[IllegalSoftwareSuite]\PortableApps\uTorrentPortable\App\utorrent\toolbar.bmp

So keep a backup of your language files to save re-downloading after each update!!

Live for an ideal and leave no place in the mind for anything else.

We have all our installers preserve the important bits on new installs for every add-on we're aware of. When ToDoList Portable was packaged for release, we weren't aware of the translations otherwise we'd have added them for automatic language switching with the PA.c Platform as well as manual language switching for the user.

For uTorrent, I wasn't aware they had extra icon sets and similar customizations available. As of the next release, these won't be removed on upgrades. If you notice anything like this in any other apps, just let us know.

As for your post, I removed the bit about the illegal software suite you are using. We don't like to have mentions of individuals who steal our work and pass it off as their own.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
