Installed Gimp 2.6.11 rev3 and ran on windows xp with PCtools Spyware Doctor.
During Gimp portable start-up Spyware Doctor blocked a malicious file the details of which are:
HeurEngine.ZeroDayThreat
f:\portable apps\portableapps\gimpportable\app\gimp\lib\2.0\plug-ins\print.exe
SD provided the following description:
"Attempts to download malicious files to the local computer and execute them"
Is Spyware Doctor being over sensitive or is there a security issue with the download?
Thanks in advance
The download has been there for months and has no issues. Spyware Doctor has had false positive issues in the past. Check the file out on VirusTotal.com and you'll see that it's perfectly clean. Please inform PCTools of their error.

Just scanning my Portable Apps drive today, using ClamWin Portable ... It reports a whole load of GIMP files as Trojan-Fakesec-310 (GIMP version 2.6.11 rev3).
So either ClamWin is reporting a whole bunch of GIMP related false positives, or GIMP is infected. Either way I'm taking no chances and GIMP has been summarily dismissed from my flash drive.
I just scanned a current GIMP Portable install with ClamWin Portable with virus DB main: 53 daily: 12819 and it came up perfectly clean.
