Inkscape Portable 0.48.1 has been released. Inkscape Portable is an open source scalable vector graphics editor packaged as a portable app, so you can do your graphics work on the go. It has all the same great features of Inkscape including markers, clones, alpha blending and has a streamlined interface. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.
PortableApps.com Platform 2.0 Beta 5 users who already have this app installed, simply click 'Check for Updates' in your PA.c Menu to update to the new version.

Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.
Inkscape supports many advanced SVG features (markers, clones, alpha blending, etc.) and great care is taken in designing a streamlined interface. Installation Error
I have tried to get this app installed, but I keep getting this error:
Extract: error writing to file tango_icons.svg
Any ideas?
I am using a 500GB portable drive with 300GB free space.

Errors
Generally, this is caused by one of a few things. Either a logical error on the drive itself (chkdsk and fix errors), being too deep into the directory structure (only an issue if you're installing it to an excessively long/deep path), or hardware issues with the drive.

Thank you for the response, this is the path J:\papps then the folder the app creates.
I have installed 3 portable apps after trying to install Inkscape with no issues.
No other issues with the drive, all installed apps run great.
reinstall
might help too.

This is an error during install itself.

sorry about that.
The only time where I observed this was when I was out of space on the drive (or on the %TEMP%-drive) but thats obviously not the case here.
