Features

ScreenshotPopMan is a POP3 and IMAP4 manager. It can be used to list all e-mails received on your incoming mail server, without having to load these mails completely. Unwanted e-mails can be deleted directly from the server. You can use PopMan to check your e-mail accounts in the background. When new e-mails arrive, you will be notified. To show you whether e-mails contain useful information, or whether they are just spam, PopMan provides a preview functionality. You can use this preview pane to read the text-based content of your e-mails – whether they are plain text or HTML.

Today's PopMan Portable release is a 'make-up' for the Friday April 1st new app release that was delayed due to travel.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks PA, for bringing this app. i was looking for this kind of portableapp. i coudn't find a good portable mail notifier on the net and i almost started writing a new mail notifier app.

Can someone summarise the difference between this and using something like Thunderbird portable?
Is it just that TBP has more 'mail client' features, while this is a stripped down equivalent?

I can try:

Mostly I use this for quick email checking and deleting of spam. Its so much smaller than thunderbird and pretty secure too as it displays everything in text format so no viruses or wild html stuff. It can write emails too but I hardly ever do that as these mails wouldnt show up in my local thunderbird. And it can run in the background and can be set to check my email every half hour.

For more info you can check the popman homepage.

I gave up using Popman. Could not get it to work with my gmail.

That was a while ago.

Life is a journey, where are you going?

make a post in the other apps forum and we could try and solve the issue.
