Okay trying to get some knowledge and or maybe I have something PA or AC can fix.
To run a AC server I believe you are suppose to do some command or syntax from your desktop like, F:\PortableApps\AssaultCubePortable\App\assaultcube\bin_win32\ac_server.exe. OR just run the ac_server.exe, in either case there is no directory for it to use, you have to creat the folders and files to make it up. Which is a minimum of packages\maps\servermaps folders and map files in there, and a config folder with a maprot.cfg I think is all you need, maybe additional serverpwd and blacklist and a couple other files, I forget now it's been a couple weeks.
But I found that if I move 2 files, ac_server.exe and zlib1.dll from
F:\PortableApps\AssaultCubePortable\App\assaultcube\bin_win32, back one folder to
F:\PortableApps\AssaultCubePortable\App\assaultcube. #1, it uses the already existing file structure, so no editing and creating duplicate files and folders and such.
I don't know how the other files will work or not work if moved, I have only messed with ac_server.exe and there are 2 other .exes and a few dll's.
I think I have more but I have a lot on my mind, lets see where this takes me/us.

No way to just make it so when installed or unpacked it puts it in the assaultcube folder rather than the bin_win32 folder ?
