Toucan Backup - Only one file being backed up

Hi folks,

Newbie with Toucan (3.1 pre 4) - have followed the docs in relation to setting up a backup job, as follows:

- Content: Multiple files and folders from several locations on C: drive
- Backup Location: \\HDA\chickey\Backups\DailyBackup-@date@--@time@.zip
- Type: Complete
- Format: Have tried all as part of troubleshooting but selected 7zip
- All others are at default (Compression, Other)
- No rules created/used
- Files to Backup: Full list of the required/expected files to be backed up are displayed

Result is that only the first file in the list is backed up to a zip file on the specified UNC location.

On some occasions of me testing the job, it reports an invalid archive, but this seems a different issue as it is not reproduceable on a stable basis.

Anyone any ideas as to why this is happening? Am I doing something stupid/newbish? Many thanks in advance for any assistance!!

I

suspect it is a bug, there were quite a few backup related changes in that pre-release, I will take a look and try and get a fix sorted as soon as I can. Thanks for reporting it!

P.S. I just read your post again, it says you are backing up to a UNC path, I suspect this is the problem, if you map it to a drive does it work then?

Hi Steve, Thanks for the

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the response. I just changed it to create the backup file on the C drive and it did the same thing (one file only).

Tried it a couple of times changing some settings but always the same thing (did get the 'cannot access zip file, another user using it' type of error once also (another issue?). Thanks.

Also, is there any config setting/way of getting Toucan to create the backup archive on a local temp drive first and only create (i.e. copy) the archive to the destination once fully created? I have a slow powerline network that this might help with - many thanks for the assistance with these.

thankyou, I will have a look at this as soon as I can. Sorry for the long delay in replying, I have had exams for the past few weeks.
