What is main Difference Between Normal Program Installing in Windows and from Inside Platform?

It is not clear when talking about installing PortableApps related Programms (for example FolderzMiniApp).
I cannot understand how to install - from inside Platform or in Windows Explorer.

Copy

Download the PortableApp from this site, and double click on it. The "install" process for a PortableApp merely COPIES the launcher and the chosen program into the proper place (a directory for each app). In certain instances, the process may download the basic program from the author's site.

To "uninstall" a PortableApp, you just delete the entire directory for that app. Everything is right in there, and no bits and pieces are spread all over the computer like standard Windows applications.

Folderz et al are portable apps installers

The miniapps I have on my page (Folderz, QuickStart, MySplash) are in the *.paf.exe format. This means that the best way to install them into the platform is from within the platform - from the right side of the menu, choose Apps>Install a New App.
That will always install it correctly into the menu. As the author of those apps, that is my recommended method of install.

You can install it by double-clicking on the *.paf.exe file, but if you don't have your platform installed in the root of the drive, you will need to select the correct path to your portable apps.

Please note that these are not official apps, so they do not show up in the Update or Get Apps options.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
