Iron Portable 11.0.700.2 has been released. SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release updates Iron to the latest version and adds in password portability using an advanced INI option. Well, Chromium is completely unsupported and not intended to be used by end users, for one. There are no stable releases of it, only regular builds. It solely exists to create the Google Chrome browser, which is only partially open source. That's why you'll find no Chromium 11 stable for Windows download on the Chromium project page.

It's also worth noting that the article you quote refers to Iron 4. Iron's at version 11 now and it's entirely possible it's been differentiated from Chrome much more significantly than Iron v4 was.

I say anything with the word "chrome" in it pretty much sucks.
builds or stable doesn't make any difference, chrome sucks as a browser and I will not support it. thats just my opinion though. I say safari beats all the major browsers hands down. loads faster for me anyway then all the other windows alternatives.

Can you please support also Chromium Browser? Iron is very nice but many extension does not support Iron.
I don't know why/how but when I want to install Chromium Browser on my Ubuntu from Software Center, It shows 3 softwares: chromium-browser-stable, chromium-browser-beta and I don't remember the other (alpha or something). So we can also get the stable releases. Iron developers does not help the people well on it's official forums.
Coming, No Such Thing
Chromium Portable is coming, but there is no such thing as a stable release of Chromium. Chromium's whole purpose is as a base for Chrome, which does have stable releases. There are no officially supported stable releases of Chromium anywhere. Ubuntu has a 'stable-ish' build that is based on the same release as each release of Chrome, but it's not actually supported.
