PortableFileAssociator zip file password protected

I just downloaded PortableFileAssociator 2.2.1.8 from https://portableapps.com/node/15583 but on trying to extract it from the zip file was asked for a password. I can't see any reference to this anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas how to get into it?

I previously tried using eXpresso to set up file associations for my portable apps. but found it very unintuitive.

Wrong place, already answered

This doesn't belong here. Not being an official release, comments belong in that thread only.

As well as it being in the filename, if you'd read the whole thread as you always should before posting, you would have seen at least one similar request (and answer).

I am a Christian and a developer and moderator here.

Was that the soft answer?

Well, if you are normally so unwelcoming, unhelpful and intolerant, I'm really glad I'm not a new member of your church.

And if that's the soft answer, you need to go back to charm school.

I can see no single harsh

I can see no single harsh word in Chris' post. It is just what it is, a short information what was wrong with your post (and not with you) and how to find the answer. That is his task as mod here, and sometimes time is too short for elaborate phrasings.

Please don't mistake a short answer as an offence, it is usually not meant that way. Wink

Here's The Password, Tips For Next Time

Hi leilabd and welcome to PortableApps.com. The password for it is a part of the filename as you download it (zer0dev) if you examine it. I believe this was done because some antivirus apps were detecting a false positive in it when it was released. For future reference, the app you asked about is a development test, meaning it's not yet an official release. So, any comments or questions should be posted in the thread you got the app from so the developer who created it is sure to see it and any others with the same issue will see the answer. Official apps like in our app directory are supported by a broader team of folks, so posts in the rest of the forum are always seen. Hope that helps!

Thank you for your help

Hi John, Thank you for taking the time to give me such a helpful answer. I think my filemanager window wasn't wide enough to show me the full filename with password.

I'm sorry I posted in the wrong place. It was kind of you to try to educate me rather than abusing me.
